Mission of this Web Site...

The most asked question is, "Why? Why do spend so much time, energy, and expense on these exposes? What is the payoff? Do you have a competing product?" No, I don't have a competing product. But I do get really upset when people are being ripped off by false advertising. I have found that federal and state agencies rarely respond to false advertising by promoters of educational products. Also, I have found that there is no publication that provides a critical analysis of research studies. Our goal is to fill this gap.

Gary L. Adams, Ph.D.
Dr. Adams has two B.S. degrees in business administration and psychology from Portland State University, his masters degree in special education from the University of Texas at Austin, and his doctorate in special education from the University of Oregon. He has been a special education teacher and administrator. He was an assistant and associate professor of special education at universities in Nebraska and Florida and an associate and full professor of educational research at universities in Washington and Oregon. Also, he was an associate research scientist with the Center for Research on Learning at the University of Kansas.

He has known for his adaptive behavior tests (the Comprehensive Test of Adaptive Behavior-Revised and the Normative Adaptive Behavior Checklist-Revised), research review books (Research on Direct Instructions), research journal articles, and grants.
